We started weighing offcuts. Here is what a year of that data changed.
For twelve months we weighed every kilogram leaving the cutting room. Average fabric utilisation started at 78% and now sits at 86%, mostly from re-nesting markers rather than any dramatic change. The remaining offcuts go into accessory panels, labels, and packing padding. Publishing the number is the point: it is much harder to let it slide once it is written down.
